Corporate Wellness Retreats
  • ROOTS Corporate Wellness Retreats are customizable depending on the specific needs of your team. Please scroll down below the Schedule Section to see our Corporate Workshop Options or click here.
Guided Meditations
  • Each full day opens and closes with a short guided meditation. You do not need to have any meditation experience in order to participate. We acknowledge that the concept of meditation may be intimidating to some of you and will address this concern with kindness and compassion. We encourage you to keep an open mind throughout your ROOTS Retreat experience.
Roots of a Healthy Lifestyle Workshops
  • Each full day, you will participate in 4 interactive workshops designed to teach you simple tools to empower your journey to a healthier lifestyle. You can click on each workshop topic within the schedule to learn more.
Gentle Conscious Movement
  • Each full day, you will participate in 2 gentle conscious movement sessions. The first session takes place mid-moring and is only about 15 minutes long. The second session is one hour long and consists of very gentle yoga, pilates, tai chi, qi gong, and functional movements designed for everybody, regardless of fitness level or age.
A Strong, Compassionate Community
  • A strong community is a very important root of a healthy lifestyle. Your ROOTS retreat is intentionally designed to include a strong community element in a small group setting. You will have daily opportunities to share and discuss your experiences, challenges and triumphs in a safe, compassionate, and supportive environment. You will also have daily opportunities to make a difference in your fellow retreat participants’ lives.
Nutrition & Hydration
  • Each day, you will be served three healthy meals. Our nutrition philosophy does not prescribe any particular diet, but vegetarian and vegan options will be available. You will also have the opportunity to choose whether or not you consume alcohol with your dinner. As in all things, balance is key to your health and wellbeing. You will be provided with a glass water bottle at the beginning of your experience. You will learn that not all water is created equal, therefore we will provide Zazen Alkaline Water to ensure that your journey to healhty hydration begins as soon as you arrive at your retreat.

The Centered Leader – Achieving Affinity of Self
The core tenet of this program is centeredness, or mindfulness.

Bain and Co. determined that out of 33 traits that inspired colleagues, centeredness is the most important inspirational quality a leader can exhibit. This program will focus on what it takes to achieve and maintain this balanced and conscious state.

In pursuit of centeredness, we will explore 8 fundamentals that are covered in the best-selling Mindful Leadership book, “The Affinity Principle.” These fundamentals were distilled from the GLOBE 2020 CEO Study. This massive research project gathered data and feedback from 1,000 CEO’s and over 5,000 senior executives from a variety of industries across 24 countries. The study determined these 8 primary CEO leadership behaviors most impacted Top Management Team Dedication and Firms Competitive Performance.

This workshop will cover these behaviors and how you might leverage or enhance those behaviors for yourself.

Unlock Your Intrinsic Potential – Your Key to Success
In this program, we focus on awakening your Intrinsic Potential (you can also think of it as your “Intellectual Property,” or “IP”), which I believe is the key to your success.

Each of us has innate talents and abilities. Often, these gifts are suppressed in our formative years by external expectations and imprints that steer us in a direction we may not be best suited for. Parenting and schooling have a tremendous impact on how these aspects of our true selves are either expanded or contracted.

More often than not, due to societal pressures and the schooling system, which is built around the lowest common denominator, our intrinsic talents and abilities get lost in the system.

This program looks at the imprints that have formed over the course of our lives and we explore ways to unlock and leverage your true potential into the success you desire.

Fundamental to this program is seeing into one’s true nature, or “Kenshō”. This is a Zen Buddhist term; Ken means “seeing,” shō means “nature,” or “essence”. The term for this awakening through comprehension and understanding of the self is “Satori.”

As you begin focusing on your “true nature,” you will begin to expand and unleash your intrinsic gifts. We will create this momentum through exploring and developing 8 key elements:

  1. MIND
  2. BODY
  3. SOUL
  4. WORK
  5. LOVE
  6. REST
  7. FUEL
  8. PLAY

Each of these facets of your life will help you bring clarity and focus to your intrinsic potential, and allow you to expand that potentialexponentially.

The cost of poorly organized meetings in 2019 almost topped $400 Billion in the U.S. alone (Doodle’s 2019 State of Meetings Report).

WHY?

  • 92% of attendees self report that they work on other things during meetings
  • Only 37% of meetings work to an agenda
  • 57% of people multitask on a phone call (only 4% of people multitask on a video call)
  • Irrelevant attendees slow progress in meetings by 31%

There is no single solution but for example simply using an agenda can reduce meeting time up to 80%. In this course, I will provide meeting protocols and tools to help make your meetings productive and efficient.
